INQUEST NORTHWEST set up
As organisational momentum grew with funding from the Greater London Council (GLC), efforts were made to establish INQUEST networks in other parts of the UK.
The inaugral meeting of INQUEST NORTHWEST took place at Edge Hill College, Ormskirk, in Lancashire. Led by Marc Urbanowicz, who became INQUEST's Northern Worker, it provided support to families and campaigns in the North of England and Scotland.
Sadly, INQUEST was never able to secure stable funding for Marc's work in the North. The national focus of the organisation across England and Wales did not come until later, when its funding revenue expanded beyond the GLC.
